Just in time for the Oscars this Sunday, Bulgari celebrates its recently acquired jewelry from Elizabeth Taylor’s extraordinary collection, perhaps the most praised collection of jewelry that caused quite a stir in 2011 when Christie’s auctioned her magnificent jewels.

One of the main highlights of the collection is the record-breaking 23.44 carat emerald brooch which Taylor wore to marry Richard Burton in 1964: the brooch set the world record for an emerald sold at auction with a final sale price of more than $6.5 million, or $280,000 per carat.
